Jul 2, 2003, 7:49am An Eritrean high-level delegation led by President Isaias Afwerki arrived in Tripoli today, July 1, 2003 on a visit to the Republic of Libya.
President Isaias Afwerki and his delegation was met by Eritrea’s ambassador to Libya and the country’s high government officials upon arrival at the Tripoli International Airport.
In his meeting with the Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi, President Isaias Afwerki discussed the consolidation of bilateral relations between the two countries as well as developments in the African Continent. The two sides also discussed the promotion of peace and stability in the continent through the coordinated efforts of the African Union.
